Batesville Extending Burial Vault Distribution

I still have not heard a lot of chatter about the Batesville burial vault from many funeral directors, but according to the careers page of their website, it looks like they are extending their test marketing effort into other areas.

The initial 5 areas selected for what Batesville called “test marketing” were: Indianapolis, Louisville, St. Louis, Cincinnati, and Columbus, Ohio. Batesville is showing on their Careers page of their website that they are hiring “Vault Sales Specialist” in the following areas: Southwest – Texas/Dallas, Southeast – Georgia/Atlanta, North Carolina – Charlotte, and Midwest – Illinois/Chicago, Wisconsin/Milwaukee/Minneapolis.

The job description is this:

This position will assist in the development of our new vault business by calling on clients to initiate sales, produce new accounts, and grow the business.

So does anyone know if Batesville is moving any units yet? We have had a few funeral directors tell us they are receiving display models for their showroom, but nothing about sales. If Batesville is opening up new testing areas then there must be at least a small demand for the product and I do see where adding another product to the selection room would benefit some funeral homes.
