Caitlin Doughty is a licensed mortician and the founder of the Order of the Good Death. When it comes to being an internet celebrity she takes the crown in the funeral profession. She is featured regularly in the Huffington Post and has been on every morning news show you can think of….yes she is still a mortician.

Her personality really shines through in her videos, so when a producer sent out a casting call for a new reality show featuring Fabulous Funeral Females – Caitlin had to create an auction tape. It’s freaking brilliant.

Caitlin might want to be sure to her FD License is current before making her TV debut. I was curious about what part of California she worked in, so I went the California Cemetery & Funeral Bureau website http://www.cfb.ca.gov and went to the license verification link and found that as of April 30, 2013 her license is delinquent. If she working somewhere, she is practicing without a valid license. I’d suggest spending less time trying to be an internet diva and make sure her credentials can back up who she claims to be and some of the skewed statements she has made on YouTube.

As of 6/10/2013 it seems Caitlin has found time out of her busy schedule of self promotion and getting more than her allotted 15 minutes of fame, to pay her licensing fee to the State of California. So she is now a licensee in good standing once again, but I would like to know where Ms. Betty Paige wannabee is working now ? I am sure that any funeral home in the State of California would love to have a Wednesday Addams look alike, who has a veritable plethora of expert knowledge gained from her few years in the death care industry, to serve the families who entrusted their family members to their respected firm.
