Brookfield, Wis. – The Funeral Service Foundation is pleased to recognize Tukios for a $100,000 pledge
in 2025, bringing the company’s total giving to more than $125,000, including support for the
Foundation’s Golf Classic over the past six years. Their support helps fund professional development,
provide essential resources, and support the Foundation’s programs wherever they are needed most.

The contribution was highlighted during the Opening Session of the National Funeral Directors Association (NFDA) Convention, attended by over 1,400 funeral service professionals. While Tukios employees are known for wearing their signature bright green amid lively convention crowds, Curtis Funk, Dreamer and Founder of Tukios, joked about stepping out of that tradition: “Some of you might be wondering who this imposter is up here, because I am wearing something besides a green shirt – and I don’t feel very comfortable looking like this myself,” said Funk, drawing laughter from the audience.

He went on to share the inspiration behind Tukios’ contribution, “Not long ago, I attended a memorial service for an industry icon and was surrounded by funeral directors, vendors, and suppliers from across the country. I was struck by the impact one person can have on our profession and overwhelmed with gratitude for those who came before us – funeral homes, vendors, and even competitors who cleared the ground and created an environment where our company could thrive. I hope we can do the same: contribute to the profession so it continues to serve people in their hardest moments.”

Jeff Smith, Chair of the Funeral Service Foundation, said in recognition of Tukios’ pledge, “Their generosity exemplifies the spirit of giving back that strengthens our profession. Curtis and his team’s support ensures funeral service professionals have the tools, programs, and resources to grow and serve families with excellence. We are deeply grateful for their vision and commitment.”

Tukios’ 2025 pledge, including support for the 2025 Golf Classic, strengthens professional development
initiatives, provides essential resources, and helps the Foundation respond wherever the need is greatest.
