NFDA POST GAME REVIEW | FFFW #57

BACK TO THE GRIND

By now, most NFDA attendees have left Music City and are back to the daily routine of funeral home life. Nashville was a blast and an amazing time, but the awesomeness doesn’t have to stay in Tennessee. See, at the FFFW, we believe every day has the potential to be great. So, we’re going to give some good vibes, news, and GIFs to kick off this awesome weekend, starting RIGHT NOW with a GIF of a camel running!

GAME TIME!

There are 64 days until Christmas. “Wind Beneath My Wings,” is one of the most popular funeral songs. If you listened to “Wind Beneath My Wings,” for 64 days straight (until Christmas) how many times would you listen through?

a) 18,808x
b) 15,505x
c) 10,101x

FASCINATING STATS (SPONSORED)

Here are some cool stats!

  • The fastest window cleaner washed three windows in nine seconds
  • In one minute, a man smashed 80 eggs with just his head
  • The fastest talker said 260 words in 23.8 seconds

These things fascinate me! Here’s another fun thing- through Parting Pro, people can complete cremation arrangements in 18 minutes. That’s AWESOME! By giving families a simple online experience, Parting Pro also helps funeral businesses increase merchandise sales, acquire positive reviews, and grow profit.

Plus, they’re teaming up with us so you can continue to get the GIFs and goods you get every week from the FFFW. So, we think they’re pretty cool.

Basically, if I had to sum it up using alliteration, I would say to remember the 13 P’s.
“Parting Pro Provides Positive Profit for their Partnered Providers by Providing People with Programmed Painless Participation Possibilities.”

WHAT HAPPENS IN NASHVILLE…

Wow, what an epic week at NFDA 2021. I personally had the pleasure of meeting many FFFW readers, and that was awesome. I’m still blown away that people take time to read through my silly commentary and GIFs. That being said, you all aren’t here to read my gushy gratitude. So I’ve made a list of the three best parts of NFDA that shouldn’t be looked over.

  1. The Batesville Cowboy Hats
At the opening ceremony, these straw-styled cowboy hats were passed out ahead of the Runaway June concert. This profession looked fantastic. Here’s the takeaway: y’all need to wear cowboy hats more often.
  2. Bills Fans
They had us out-numbered. You couldn’t go anywhere without seeing Bills jerseys and hats. If I were dropped off at the convention center, without any idea of what Nashville looked like, I would have thought that I was in Buffalo. Another takeaway: Buffalos travel in herds, even when they’re coming to see their team get defeated.
  3. The NFDA Bird was Overlooked
When I first arrived at the expo center, I saw a bird hanging out in the ceiling. This dude had major vibes- good ones. He laid low for a couple of days, but then on Wednesday, he made his return. It was incredible. They tried to capture him, but his vibes couldn’t be bagged up. My man flew away and left a lasting impression on my heart. Though I don’t believe birds are real, this one was really cool.

Here he is:

YOU OTTER BE PROUD

Let’s be honest, our profession gets a lot of negative press, so we’ve searched the internet to find stories of funeral things getting respect, and doing great things!

2) Zoning board conditionally approves building crematorium at funeral home in Baltimore’s Govans
