Wilbert Funeral Services, Inc. Acquires Massachusetts Family Precast Concrete Businesses
OVERLAND PARK, KS – Wilbert Funeral Services, Inc. (“WFSI”) is pleased to announce the acquisition of the Maki Family Precast Concrete Businesses of West Barnstable, Massachusetts:
Legal Entities Acquired:
- Flagg-Palmer Vault Company (Oxford, MA)
- Flagg-Palmer Precast and Step Company (Oxford, MA)
- Century Vault Company (Mashpee, MA)
- Cape Cod Step Company (Mashpee, MA)
Wilbert Funeral Services, Inc. (“WFSI”) acquired the Assets of Flagg-Palmer, Century Vault & Cape Cod Step. Flagg-Palmer & Century Vault are concrete precast companies that were owned and managed by Frank Maki and his family. Frank Maki and his wife Susan incorporated Century Vault/Step in 1976 and subsequently purchased Flagg-Palmer in 2002.
Flagg-Palmer/Century/Cape Cod has two locations: Oxford, MA and Mashpee, MA. All step manufacturing is done in the Oxford location and Mashpee serves the market in the Cape Cod area of Massachusetts.
“This acquisition will allow Wilbert Funeral Services to expand its distribution and bring Wilbert Burial Vaults to a larger number of funeral home customers in our Massachusetts service area.
