Des Moines, Iowa — eFuneral, a Homesteaders Life Company subsidiary, is excited to announce a new collaboration with Travel Plan by Inman. Consumers who plan and fund their funerals through eFuneral can now elect to add Inman’s Travel Plan to their preneed policies.

“Our goal is to provide our funeral home customers and their client families the same options when conducting funeral planning online as they would receive when planning at the funeral home,” affirmed Luke Frieberg, President of eFuneral. “Just as consumers are increasingly comfortable conducting business online, they are also becoming more mobile. Having a travel protection option is important component of a complete advance funeral plan.” The Travel Plan by Inman offers coverage to families when a loved one dies away from home. A one-time, $450 fee covers the cost of bringing a loved one home for ceremony if they die more than 100 miles from home. Covered expenses could be as high as $15,000. “We are honored to work with eFuneral and their funeral home partners’” states Dave McComb CEO of Inman Shipping Worldwide and Travel Plans by Inman. eFuneral and Inman customers can take advantage of this valuable offering beginning November 1, 2019
