Selected Independent Funeral Homes Educational Trust Offers Matching Gift Opportunity for September!

DEERFIELD, ILL. — Selected Independent Funeral Homes Educational Trust (the “Trust”) has received a Matching Gift Grant from Passare who will match dollar-for-dollar all gifts made to the Trust during the month of September up to $5,000.00.

“This is a marvelous opportunity for the Trust,” said Bea Pedersen, the Trust’s Director of Development. “It is a great incentive for our donors to double their impact to the independent funeral service profession with every dollar they donate.”

Donations to the Trust help support the best educational opportunities for the advancement and support of all who work within and for the independent funeral service profession. “The Trust funds scholarship research, workforce development and educational opportunities which provide lifelong learning for all independent death care practitioners,” said Pedersen. “This matching gift is a great way to enhance awareness of what the Trust can do for these practitioners and this profession.  We are very grateful to Passare for this show of support in our work.”
