DEERFIELD, Ill. — Selected Independent Funeral Homes Educational Trust is pleased to announce appointments of three Board Trustees to fill open positions. Tim Bridgers, General Manager of Live Oak Bank, has been appointed as Selected Partner-Supplier for a 3-year term.

“My vision as a part of Live Oak Bank is to provide meaningful education on the financial and business management aspects of the funeral profession,” said Bridgers. “I am honored to be a part of the Selected Educational Trust and look forward to adding value, but more importantly, learning how to better serve the profession.”

John Wild of Iles Funeral Homes, Inc. / Dunn’s Funeral Home and Crematory has been appointed for a one-year term to fulfill the vacating seat of Trustee Paul St. Pierre who was recently elected to Selected’s Board of Directors.

“Our firm has benefited in so many ways from our involvement with Selected Independent Funeral Homes,” said Wild. “Business development, professional growth for our staff, recruitment and networking events are just a few. It was easy to say ‘yes’ when given the opportunity to serve as a Trustee.”

Scott Pridemore of Hippensteel Funeral Service and Crematory has renewed for a 3-year term.

“When asked in 2017 to fill an open position on the Selected Trust Board, I was both honored and excited to help,” said Pridemore. “From my work on the Board, I have discovered the importance of the Trust and how critical it is as our profession continues to adapt to a changing landscape of funeral service. The opportunities the Trust creates will lead to more qualified and better-educated individuals coming into funeral service.”

The new Trustees will officially assume their roles during the 100th Annual Meeting held at Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort in Salt Lake City, UT. Visit the website to learn more and to view the full Trust Board.
