Funeral Home Fall | FFFW 202

DISCLAIMER: None of the F’s in FFFW stand for “facts.” Enjoy the jokes and satire.

Welcome to issue 202 of the FFFW! We’ve been doing this for a while, so I think it’s time to remind you what we even do this for.

1) This is the kick-off to the weekend. Fridays are fantastic and worth celebrating with GIFs and funeral satire.

2) This profession is very serious, so we’re here to lighten it up.

3) We do it because we can.

Top 3 Ways to Add a Little Fall into Your Funeral Home

I’ve decided that fall started this week. Why? Because I wore long sleeves at night and it felt great. That means fall has sprung.

1. Pumpkin Spice Everything

Why let the coffee shops have all the fun? Bring the fall craze to your funeral home with pumpkin spice-scented candles, hand soaps, and even coffee. Want to really commit? Offer pumpkin spice embalming fluid (just kidding… or are we?). Your clients will appreciate the seasonal aroma—just make sure you don’t overdo it and turn the place into a giant latte.

2. Hay Bale Seating (But Make It Classy)

Ditch the traditional chairs and opt for hay bale seating at graveside services. Not only does it give a rustic, autumnal feel, but it’s also biodegradable—talk about eco-friendly! Just be sure to throw in some plaid blankets for comfort and to avoid those awkward hay-in-your-pants situations. Nothing says “fall funeral” like guests getting cozy on a bale of hay!

3. Scarecrow Greeter

Forget the solemn usher—why not have a friendly scarecrow greeting guests at the door? Dress him up in a black suit and tie, give him a stylish hat, and let him add a bit of fall flair with a cheeky sign that says, “Rest in Peas.” He’ll be the talk of the service, and it’s a great way to lighten the mood (and maybe scare off a crow or two).
