Opinion: People Should Schedule Funerals During the Eclipse

On April 8th a solar eclipse is scheduled to occur all across America. For areas that are in the direct path of the eclipse, this will mean 3-5 minutes of total darkness during the middle of the day.

So… if you’re a funeral director that is in the direct path… aaaaand you happen to get a family scheduled for that day… you need to make sure the outdoor portion of the funeral occurs during totality.

Imagine lowering the casket into ground and then as soon as it’s in, the whole world goes dark.

The chills, the emotion, the fright.

But that’s not why we do it.

What happens next is you have to time out the most epic speech ever. Talk about the darkness of grief and feel the situation out. Becuase right as soon as the darkness ends- you start talking abput hope, love, and memories. The whole universe will be helping you make this the most epic speech of all time.
