Monument Companies Provide Free Services to Help Families Remember
Additional Support to First Responders, Healthcare Workers and Veterans Also Offered
As life in New York’s Hudson Valley slowly returns from sheltering in place to the “new normal”, three local monument companies are doing their part to help families adjust to life after isolation. Orange County Monuments, Putnam County Monuments, and Travis Monuments, part of the Hudson Valley Monument Group, are offering its design services free to families who now wish to memorialize a loved one who may have passed recently.
For any family that wishes to create a memorial headstone or monument, these companies are providing free memorial carving and engraving on all new orders. Families are responsible only for the cost of the granite and the installation at the cemetery. Additionally, for monuments that memorialize a first responder, military veteran, or someone in the healthcare field, the installation charge is donated as well; families only pay for the granite. Orders placed by Independence Day qualify for these offers.
“Each of us has been affected in some way by the coronavirus pandemic and we want to provide this gesture to help families, regardless of what caused their loved one’s passing,” said Anthony Minozzi, president of Hudson Valley Monuments Group. “We understand many families may now want to memorize a loved one and we hope that this small gesture can help them to do just that.”
For those families with an existing monument that needs an inscription added, each of the three companies will provide a free inspection of the monument while doing the inscription. The team will examine the joint, the installation, the foundation, as well as level of the monument. This offer is available regardless if Orange County Monuments, Putnam County Monuments, and Travis Monuments installed the original monument or not. As above, orders placed by July 4th will qualify for this offer.
“We know people need more help right now and we want to do something that could make an immediate difference,” commented Minozzi. “We want to be part of the rebuilding process for our communities, as this is where our children grow up, go to school, and play.”
This is not the first time that Orange County Monuments, Putnam County Monuments, and Travis Monuments have stepped up to help a local community. Last summer, when headstones at the Calvary Cemetery in New Windsor were vandalized, the Hudson Valley Monument Group sent teams to repair and reassemble the damaged grave markers.
“Over the years, these communities have helped our family-owned businesses grow,” Minozzi added. “They’ve supported us from day one, and we just wanted to do something to give back to the communities throughout the Hudson Valley.”
Based out of Nyack, NY, the Hudson Valley Monuments Group has been providing monument services and memorial products for more than 100 years. They are members of the New York State Monument Builders Association and the Monument Builders of North America.
