Rollings Funeral Service Reflects on Their Strong Growth in 2019

TYRONE, GA — Rollings Funeral Service, one of the largest privately held funeral home owners on the east coast, is looking back on another successful year of continued growth as they head towards 2020. This past year saw the addition of two new full-time positions to their corporate body and the acquisition of 14 funeral homes. This growth marks a pivotal moment for Rollings as they continue to lay a strong foundation for the new year.

In 2019, Rollings was proud to announce the acquisition of the West Virginia Funeral Group (a collection of 10 funeral homes), Richards, Raff & Dunbar Memorial Home (Ohio), Trostel, Chapman, Dunbar & Fraley Funeral Home (Ohio), and Foster Funeral Home with 2 locations in New York State. With a total of almost 50 firms now under Rollings Funeral Service, the need for a 4th regional manager was realized with the hiring of James Mullikin who will now oversee the operations of Rollings’ firms in south Georgia. James will join Rollings’ 3 other regional managers: Rob Olthof (NY and PA), Jason Greer (north Georgia), and Anthony Sorrells (SC and NC). The West Virginia locations will be overseen by Controller, Sam Church.

With the continued growth of the organization, Greg Rollings, President & CEO, also brought on a full-time communications professional to develop his marketing and communications strategies. Umberto Putrino was earlier announced as the new Director of Social Media & Strategic Communications and is further shaping the Rollings’ narrative while enhancing their funeral homes’ position in the communities they serve.

“As I look back, I can’t help but feel a tremendous sense of pride and excitement for how much we’ve grown over the past year,” mentioned Greg Rollings. “We’ve acquired 14 of the most well-respected funeral homes in their communities and we couldn’t be more thrilled to have them in our family of firms. We’re also excited with James and Umberto joining our team and look forward to the value they’ll add to our company.”
