Lemasters Becomes ICCFA Cremation Programs Coordinator

STERLING, VA (July 23, 2013)–The International Cemetery, Cremation and Funeral Association has retained Poul Lemasters, Esq., to be its Cremation Programs Coordinator. He has been one of the coaches in ICCFA’s Cremation Coaching Center (www.cremationcoach.com) since it was launched in 2009. In his new role, he will work as an independent contractor with ICCFA staff, and with industry speakers and consultants in the development of training and arrangement programs.

“I have been proud to be part of ICCFA in various roles over the past several years. This new position is truly an exciting opportunity,” Lemasters said. “I know that with ICCFA we will produce cremation programs and content for our members, and others in the deathcare profession, that is beyond compare to anything else out there.”

Lemasters is principal of Lemasters Consulting, a funeral profession consulting company. He holds both funeral director and embalmer licenses in Ohio and West Virginia, and teaches various law courses as an adjunct professor at the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science (CCMS). Lemasters graduated from CCMS in 1996 and from Northern Kentucky University’s Chase College of Law in 2003. He has served the profession for many years, including as corporate counsel for the Alderwoods Group.

He will continue to also serve as special counsel to the ICCFA on cremation legal issues. He is a member of the ICCFA Government & Legal Affairs Committee.

Founded in 1887, the ICCFA is the only international trade association representing all segments of the cemetery, cremation, funeral and memorialization profession. Its membership is composed of more than 7,500 property locations of cemeteries, funeral homes, crematories, memorial designers and related businesses worldwide.
