CFSA Holds Successful Fall Conference & Trade Show
LAKE BLUFF, ILLINOIS — December 1, 2015 — The Casket & Funeral Supply Association of America (CFSA) held its annual Fall Conference & Trade Show at the JW Marriott in Indianapolis, Indiana, on November 18-19, 2015. Nearly 300 representatives from the funeral supply industry throughout North America attended the successful event celebrating the association’s 102-year anniversary. Fourteen past CFSA presidents attended, spanning 25 years.
Doug Gober, of Gober Strategic Capital, was the keynote speaker and drew a crowd as he highlighted industry trends and forecasts for the next several years. Ryan Thogmartin, CEO and Founder of ConnectingDirectors.com and Disrupt Media, presented an impressive display of how the funeral supply industry is beginning to leverage Social Media marketing in the death care industry. John D. Marsellus of Marsellus Casket Company and Kenneth I. Curtis (posthumously) of Lockwoven Company were awarded 2015 CFSA Lifetime Recognition Awards during the two-day conference.
The exhibit hall included 46 companies that service the death care industry, including manufacturers, distributors, and service providers. A complete list of the exhibitors and sponsors is available on the association website at CFSAA.org.
The 2016 CFSA Fall Conference & Trade Show will return to the JW Marriott in Indianapolis on November 14-15, 2016. The next association convention is the CFSA Winter Seminar at the Sanibel Harbour Resort & Spa in Ft. Myers, Florida, on March 3-5, 2016.
