Blockbuster Announcement from Tribute Technology and C&J Financial Partnership
While “acquisition” and “merger” are two words to which we’ve become accustomed in the deathcare world, “partnership” is a little less common. It’s even more unusual that we learn of a partnership that happily pairs two of the best-of-the-best in the business and benefits customers of both entities.
Tribute Technology, a leader in funeral management software, announced on Thursday that C&J Financial will become the exclusive insurance assignments partner for Tribute Technology, taking over operations previously managed by the Tribute Insurance Assignments division.
“We could not be more pleased that C&J is now the preferred partner with Tribute Technology as their insurance assignment funding provider,” said Jamie Meredith, Executive Vice President of C&J Financial during Episode 267 of DISRUPT Media’s Funeral Nation.
Charlie Cole, Tribute Technology’s CEO, echoed Meredith’s enthusiasm, explaining that the move will allow Tribute to focus on its core business of funeral software.
“We’ve always had other areas of focus that in some ways can dilute those core areas and so we’ve made the decision to let the C&J team take over the operations for our Tribute Insurance Assignments Division,” Cole said.
Cole and Meredith reiterated that the process Tribute Technology customers currently follow to file insurance assignments will remain seamless, with no changes. No matter which integrated platform Tribute customers are using for claims, the submission process will remain the same.
“The only change a customer will see is on the PDF download,” Meredith said. “Now instead of Tribute Insurance Assignments, it will say C&J Financial. Nothing else — rates, process, uploading documents, checking status of claims — remains exactly the same.”
He added that C&J Financial customers who are also current Tribute Technology customers will now have the ability to submit their C&J assignments directly through their Tribute software management system, streamlining the process.
This partnership also means that Connecting Directors readers will be seeing a lot more of the dynamic duo of Jamie Meredith and Charlie Cole.
“What honestly excites me the most about this is what Jamie and I have talked about for a long time,” added Cole. “It’s the ability for us to do events together, to share customers together, and to support customers together.
