Longwood, FL — The National Concrete Burial Vault Association (NCBVA) has announced that Linda Darby-Sempsrott, CEO, Trigard Vaults/Greenwood Plastics, Inc. of Danville, IL, has been named to a one-year term as President of the Funeral and Memorialization Industry Council (FAMIC). She is a former Board member of the NCBVA.

Linda has been in the memorialization industry since graduating from Illinois State University in 1984. Along with her sister and brother, she is co-owner of her family’s business, including Trigard burial vaults, Trigard Memorials, six funeral homes and a memorial park.

Linda has served on various associations, including the Board of the Illinois Cemetery Association with its involvement in Legislation and Public Relations, and the Board of the Arizona Funeral Directors Association. She also sat on the Illinois State’s Comptroller’s Cemetery Advisory Board for two years, and co-chaired the Women in Funeral Service Scholarship program for the International Cemetery, Cremation and Funeral Association (ICCFA). She is a trustee for the Funeral Service Foundation. An experienced speaker, Linda makes presentations at national conventions, state shows and smaller area funeral homes. She also speaks regularly to mortuary science schools across the country.

Other FAMIC officers for 2011 are: Ernest Adams Jr. (FAMIC President-Elect) of Watkins-Garrett-Woods Mortuary, Greenville, SC; and Jim Kepner (FAMIC Treasurer), Kepner Funeral Home, Wheeling, WV.
