DISCLAIMER: None of the F’s in FFFW stand for “facts.” Enjoy the satire.

Welcome to the last FFFW of 2023! That right- I’m not going to see you until next year. I hope you had a very merry Christmas and that you’re taking time to reflect on the year and we’re leaving behind and finding a few moments to dream of the year ahead.

We’re keeping today’s edition simple and sweet! Let’s get to it!

Fridays left til Christmas: 52

You’re Already Ahead with Homesteaders

Christmas came early for funeral homes who write business with Homesteaders.  The preneed leader just announced a 60 basis point increase on new business, effective January 15. It’s one of the industry’s highest growth rate increases. Learn more.

2024 Predictions

Based on *extinsive study- I’ve developed a list of 2024 predictions that you can take to the bank. We’re giving it all away- the good, the bad, and the somewhat ugly.

1) Coffins have a big comeback- goodbye traditional caskets
2) Goldendoodles get dethroned by Aussiedoodles as the new hip grief dog
3) A Wyoming funeral home makes the news
4) A funeral product hits the TikTok shop
5) Local funeral directors will make negative comments every time they see their competitor’s billboards

You Otter Be Proud

  1. Demaine Funeral Home in Alexandria helps families plan for the future
  2. Homesteaders Honors Exceptional Employees
  3. Rockland County moves to improve, restore several abandoned cemeteries

See you next week! Happy New Year!
