My Pitch to Marvel
It is no surprise to anyone that has read the FFFW for any length of time that I’m a pretty big fan of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. I’ve seen every movie, some more than once, and I’m always in line to buy a ticket when one of their heroes takes up the silver screen. Part of why I’m such a fan is because these movies not only show the mighty fighters in battle, but they show their human side and the effects their actions have on the civilian world around them.
So… I think we need a show or movie about a funeral home in this battle-filled universe.
When half the universe was snapped out of existence, did people do memorial ceremonies? When aliens attacked New York, how did the funeral directors handle all that business? Like these are things that would make for really interesting television/cinema.
But, I guess funeral directors are used to being behind-the-scenes, even in fake universes.
