Fire Damages Warehouse at Doric Products Facility
Company Reports Minimal Operational Impact and Begins Plans to Rebuild
MARSHALL, Ill. — September 5, 2026 — A September 4th fire damaged a 5000 square foot warehouse at Doric Products, Inc. in Marshall, Illinois. The fire was contained to a single building; no injuries were reported, and core production continues uninterrupted.
The affected warehouse was used for the production of one baby casket model and miniature vault models primarily used for display in funeral homes. The production areas for Doric’s vault liners and all major product lines were not impacted and remain fully operational. The company has already begun shifting the impacted production to one of the other five buildings located on the Marshall property to maintain availability for customers.
“Our first concern was the safety of our team, and we’re grateful no one was injured. I also want to thank our employees for their quick action and support in responding to the fire,” said Jim Wiens, President of Doric Products, Inc. “Because the fire was isolated to one structure, we’re able to continue serving our customers without significant disruption. Our team is already reallocating production to ensure continuity.”
Doric has initiated plans to rebuild the warehouse and restore the small portion of production capacity affected by the fire. The company will keep customers informed as the relocation and rebuilding process moves forward.
