Peer Support That Meets Professionals Where They Are

Join the Virtual Funeral Professionals Peer Support Meeting in July

WHEELING, IL— Grief, stress, and emotional strain do not move on a schedule—and neither do the thoughts and feelings that accompany work centered on loss. For professionals who regularly support others through death, transition, and trauma, there is often little space to tend to what they themselves are carrying.

Peer Support Meetings offer that space.

This July 21, participants are invited to attend the monthly virtual Funeral Professionals Peer Support Meeting exactly as they are, with whatever is on their mind that day—whether heavy or hopeful, clearly defined or hard to name. There is no expectation to prepare, explain, or perform. Participants may speak, listen, reflect quietly, or simply be present. All forms of participation are welcome.

At the heart of peer support is mutual care. Those who attend are both giving and receiving support from colleagues who understand the emotional realities of the work. The group creates a respectful, confidential environment where experiences can be shared, witnessed, and held with compassion—without judgment and without the pressure to “fix” anything.

These gatherings are open to anyone who serves families and communities during times of loss and transition, including students, apprentices, funeral directors, embalmers, crematory operators, cemeterians, transport professionals, support staff, and others working in death care and related fields.

Everyone is welcome. Come with questions, worries, gratitude, fatigue, or quiet curiosity. Come to listen, to speak, or simply to be among peers who understand.

Support begins by showing up—just as you are.

No registration required. Just mark your calendar, save the Zoom link, and join us for an hour of grounding, connection, and peer support. This virtual funeral professional peer support meeting takes place Tuesday, July 21, 2026 at 7:30pm ET / 6:30pm CT / 4:30pm PT via Zoom link at cremationassociation.org/peersupport.
