Wilbert Funeral Services Appoints Lance Ray as Vice President of Sales
LEAWOOD, KS, April 29, 2026– Wilbert Funeral Services, Inc. (“Wilbert”), a Marmon/Berkshire Hathaway company, is proud to announce the appointment of Lance Ray as Vice President of Sales, expanding his leadership role across the organization’s national sales strategy and operations.
Ray brings more than 30 years of experience with Wilbert, along with a deep understanding of the profession and the people it serves. Since joining the company in 1996, he has held a series of leadership roles with increasing responsibility, including Regional Sales Manager, Regional Vice President, and Executive Vice President. Throughout his tenure, he has consistently delivered strong results while helping strengthen relationships across Wilbert’s national network.
In his expanded role, Ray will lead Wilbert’s sales organization, with continued oversight of Pierce Chemical and responsibility for key partnerships. His experience across burial vault operations, monument manufacturing, casket distribution, and chemical products positions him to guide a comprehensive and aligned approach to growth.

Ray’s career reflects a hands-on approach to leadership and a longstanding connection to Wilbert’s network of family-owned licensees. His ability to navigate both operational detail and strategic direction has made him a trusted partner across the organization and throughout the industry.

Ray holds an Associate of Applied Science from the Dallas Institute of Funeral Service and a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources from Friends University. He is a licensed funeral director and embalmer and previously served as a Sergeant in the United States Air Force.
