Keeper Memorials Earns Second Consecutive ICCFA KIP Award for Innovation in Personalized Memorialization
March, 2025 – Toronto, Ontario – Keeper Memorials has received its second consecutive Keeping It Personal (KIP) Award from the International Cemetery, Cremation and Funeral Association, this year winning First Place in Most Personalized Pet Service for Find Me, Remember Me, an innovation that extends memorialization into the everyday lives of pet families by carrying a pet’s identity and story from life through remembrance.
Presented annually by ICCFA, the KIP Awards recognize excellence in personalization across cemetery, funeral, cremation, and memorialization services. Keeper’s back-to-back recognition reflects a continued focus on developing digital memorial solutions that respond to how families increasingly expect stories, identities, and legacy to be preserved.
Find Me, Remember Me introduces a QR-based memorial identification system that begins while a pet is living and remains part of remembrance after loss. A discreet QR code tag attached to the collar provides instant identification, access to a pet’s profile, photos, story, and family contact information. When the pet passes, that same tag transitions to the urn or memorial, preserving a single identity and story without interruption.
The product was inspired by the loss of a beloved family dog, Sheba, and the realization that meaningful memories often become fragmented across devices and platforms after loss.
“Families increasingly expect the stories that matter most to remain intact, easy to revisit, and preserved for the long term. Since 2013, Keeper has been committed to building memorial technology families and partners can trust, in a space where longevity and reliability matter,” said Mandy Benoualid, President and Co-Founder of Keeper Memorials.
The award follows Keeper Memorials’ 2024 KIP Award win for “Your Story, Your Legacy,” the Living Veteran feature developed for the Veterans Legacy Memorial in partnership with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs National Cemetery Administration. That initiative expanded the Veterans Legacy Memorial platform by allowing living Veterans approved for pre-need burial eligibility to privately preserve their own biographies, milestones, and service history in their own words before death.
Together, the two award-winning projects demonstrate Keeper’s range across both institutional and family-centered memorialization — from national memorial infrastructure to highly personal remembrance tools.
