Angel Valley Funeral Home Reopens Following Renovation to Better Serve Tucson Families
Grand Reopening to Highlight New Options, Greater Comfort and Expanded Choice
TUCSON, Ariz. (March 23, 2026) – Angel Valley Funeral Home, a long-standing presence in Tucson’s historic Blenman-Elm neighborhood, will reopen this week following a comprehensive renovation designed to better serve local families. The updated funeral home at 2545 North Tucson Boulevard will be unveiled Friday, March 27, when the Angel Valley team hosts a ribbon-cutting and open house with community, faith and business leaders.
For more than 60 years, Angel Valley has served Tucson families with compassion, professionalism and care. The renovation honors that legacy while creating a more welcoming and flexible environment for gathering, reflection and remembrance. The refreshed space also expands the team’s ability to offer families greater comfort, choice and affordability during one of life’s most difficult moments.
What began as a response to water damage in July 2025 became an opportunity to make a deeper investment in the future of the funeral home and the community it serves. Rather than simply repair the building, the Angel Valley team committed more than $500,000 to strengthen and modernize the facility for the future—reflecting its long-term commitment to Tucson families.
“The Blenman-Elm neighborhood, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, is widely recognized as one of Tucson’s most beautiful and cherished communities,” said Joseph Stone, Angel Valley director of operations. “This rebuild was an opportunity to honor both the past and the future. We are recommitting to our long-standing support for Tucson and our close relationships with area hospices, the Greek Orthodox community and other local faith leaders — relationships built on trust and responsibility. With a renewed facility and the same experienced team, we look forward to serving Tucson families for decades to come.
“The renovation includes upgraded technology; improved gathering spaces; and a more cohesive, comfortable environment designed around how families come together today. Every aspect of the updated space was planned to support meaningful services and provide families with options that reflect their needs, preferences and budgets,” Stone said.
Community members, along with local business and civic leaders, are invited to tour the newly renovated facility during the grand reopening celebration on March 27 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. A ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at noon, with remarks from Blenman-Elm Neighborhood Association President Alan Myklebust alongside the Angel Valley team. Guests can enjoy guided tours of the facility, light bites from neighboring Postino cafe and live music throughout the afternoon. Angel Valley’s preneed funeral and cemetery advisors also will be available to schedule future planning appointments, giving families the opportunity to make informed decisions on their own terms.
“We are deeply proud of this investment in Tucson,“ said Stone. “We hope the community will join us to see the updated space, meet our caring team and learn about the choices we offer — from personalized celebrations of life to the simplest, affordable cremation. “
