West Des Moines, Iowa — Homesteaders Life Company EVP-Sales and Marketing Lyndon Peterson is excited to announce the appointment of Cole Waybright as VP-Sales Optimization. In his new role, Waybright will work with Homesteaders’ funeral home customers and marketing organizations to implement preneed growth strategies that connect them with more consumers.

“Cole has an incredible breadth of experience in the funeral space,” said Peterson. “Coming from a family-owned funeral home and having worked with two major funeral operators, Cole not only understands the intricacies of our business but also excels in building scalable preneed sales operations.”

Waybright grew up in his family’s West Virginia funeral home and has been working the funeral space for more than two decades. His experience covers a broad spectrum of the business, including day-to-day funeral home operations, preneed sales strategy, talent development and relationship management.

“I am thrilled to join Homesteaders in this exciting new role,” Waybright shared. “I look forward to collaborating with exceptional partners in the funeral profession to make a meaningful impact and to build on our shared commitment to serving families.”

Waybright is a licensed funeral director and embalmer and a graduate of Alderson Broaddus University and the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. He and his wife, Lindsay, live in Florida with their son.
