This year, CANA offers an optional, pre-convention workshop to address The Silent Problem: Talking about Mental Health and Funeral Service. After her well-regarded presentation at last year’s convention, Dr. Sara Murphy returns with Aaron Pelchat, LCSW, to address the very real mental health crisis sweeping this emotionally intensive and increasingly stressful field. Working from different areas of expertise, Murphy and Pelchat will guide participants in taking steps toward self-empowerment in their mental health journeys personally and professionally. For just $200, attendees will learn and practice evidence-based therapeutic tools for improving mental health outcomes on Wednesday, September 11. Add the workshop to your convention registration and receive a discount on both experiences!

It’s just over 106 days to the Chicago Convention, with plenty of time to make your travel arrangements and pick up your tickets to attend. It’s bright… and we’re wearing sunglasses. Hit it.* Register now for CANA’s 106th Cremation Innovation Convention: September 11-13, 2024. Visit cremationassociation.org/CANA24 to learn more.

*With thanks to the Evans family, Velma Kelly, the Breakfast Club, Ferris Bueller, and the Blues Brothers for making Chicago such a quotable and notable experience!
