Batesville Leverages Product Innovation to Help Maximize Cremation Profitability and Improve Family Satisfaction
Check out the new solutions at the 2023 ICCFA Convention & Exposition
BATESVILLE, Ind., May 8, 2023 – Batesville is putting innovation on display at the 2023 International Cemetery, Cremation and Funeral Association (ICCFA) Annual Convention and Exposition, May 16 – 19 in Kansas City, MO, with new products, technology offerings, merchandising tools, and other solutions designed to help funeral directors optimize their success. The company will highlight the design, engineering and material changes that transformed traditional burial caskets into “dual disposition” products that give families more choices when selecting a cremation casket, while also significantly reducing the amount of metallic waste in the cremation process.
“Our commitment to innovation is deeply rooted in our mission of helping families honor the lives of those they love®, regardless of disposition,” said Jenn Parvin, senior vice president and chief marketing and technology officer at Batesville. “Cremation is preferred by the majority of today’s consumers, and we are excited to be able to provide solutions that are more appealing to families, more profitable for funeral homes and better for crematory operators.”
Batesville’s proprietary features and design innovations will be featured in a hands-on exhibit that includes the bed lift system, cremation-friendly liners and hardware, and a perforated Family Choices® personalization panel that is more cremation-friendly.
While cremation rates have accelerated, research shows there’s a still a large knowledge gap among consumers regarding the choices that are available to them. Batesville’s new Cremation Tributes Guide is a free tool that can help educate families as they go through the arrangement process and empower their choices.
The company will display recent additions to its casket and container line along with an assortment of urns and memorial keepsakes:
- Dryden Brown Select Hardwood – A plank-top design, with a contemporary satin finish, rosetan crepe interior, and Family Choices® personalization
- NewPointe® Hadley Cremation Container – An improved modern appearance with a stylish wood finish, stationary handles and a full 24” interior width
