WHEELING, IL — Pandemic Lessons on Preneed and Aftercare, the fourth and final entry in CANA’s Art and Science of Cremation: Crucial Conversations Virtual Series series, goes live on Wednesday, March 14, at 1 pm CT. Along with facilitators Jon Lefrandt (Domanicare), Alex McCracken (Funeral Innovations), and Mitch Smith (eFuneral), you’re invited to gain insights into how the pandemic has affected trends in preneed and aftercare along with your fellow preneed sales agents, counselors, and funeral directors.

It only takes an hour out of your workday to connect with colleagues on topics that matter to you. The virtual conversation series was designed to bring practitioners together to talk about a topic that matters to their businesses. Subject experts Lefrandt, McCracken, and Smith will speak briefly to get the ball rolling before they join participants in a roundtable-style discussion, sharing challenges and solutions among colleagues.

The facilitators will begin with quick insights into the shifting landscape around funeral planning, aftercare, and preneed sales and finding strategies to take advantage of current trends. The ensuing roundtable conversations will focus on the opportunities that a comprehensive aftercare program offers during and after a pandemic; using digital marketing as a means to reach people in the community, open up conversations, and build connections; and how funeral planning trends have impacted preneed before and during COVID—and how it will continue to impact the post-COVID era.

“This is a welcoming, committed, and supportive group of people tackling issues that matter,” said Denis Desrochers, CANA Board Member and member of the Symposium Planning Advisory Group. If you’ve never been to a CANA event, this is a whole new way to meet. This space is designed to be progressive, practical, professional—and comfortable!

Thanks to the generosity of series sponsors Dignity Memorial and Implant Recycling, registration is free for CANA Members and just $15 for non-members. The preneed and aftercare conversation is sponsored by Homesteaders, OpusXenta, and National Guardian Life (NGL). 1.0 CEU is available from the APFSP. Be sure to attend—recordings will not be available.
