Rollings Funeral Service Announces Acquisition of Nebraska Funeral Homes

TYRONE, GA — Rollings Funeral Service is excited to announce a recent acquisition of the Dugan Funeral Group based out of Fremont, NE. The funeral group is comprised of Bethany Funeral Home & Cremation Services (La Vista, NE), Braman Mortuary & Cremation Services (two locations in Omaha, NE), Dugan Funeral Chapel & Cremation Services (Fremont, NE), Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Chapel & Cremation Services (Grand Island, NE), and Westlawn Memorial Park (Grand Island, NE). The six locations were formerly owned by William F. (Bill) Dugan.

Greg Rollings, President & CEO of Rollings Funeral Service, said “I was so excited when the opportunity presented itself to bring Bill’s firms into Rollings Funeral Service. Collectively, the group represents over 200 years of providing excellent service and high-quality funerals and I just knew they would be a fantastic addition to our growing number of firms.” Rollings further said that this marks his first acquisition in Nebraska.

The Dugan Funeral Group can trace its beginnings back over 50 years when Dugan was running a small firm in Scottsbluff, NE. Through various acquisitions, Dugan was able to grow the group to 14 firms at its height. Currently with six firms and decades of service, Dugan wanted to start looking at the next chapter of his life. While there were other interested parties, he ultimately went with Rollings Funeral Service due to their honesty. “Both Greg and I were very realistic when it came to negotiations and timing and I felt we were on the same page when it came to value too,” mentioned Dugan. He further mentioned that he views all his employees as family and felt secure that his work family was becoming part of a larger family led by Greg and Debbie Rollings.

Annually, the Dugan Funeral Group serves around 800 families.
