What if Casket Companies Marketed to The Consumer Like The Old Days?

The picture above was sent to us by an awesome fan. This old ad from National Casket Company, cirrca the 1930s, makes us wonder what the funeral landscape would be like if casket companies still marketed direct to the consumer or what if they even sold direct to the consumer?

Would the consumer be better educated? Would cremation rates be as high? Would prices be higher or lower? What about imports?
