ConnectingDirectors.com Got To Where It Is Now After Epic Failure
As most of you know I have two companies; ConnectingDirectors.com and DISRUPT Media, a global social media strategy, management and reporting agency.
For the last 18 months I have been a part of a start-up incubator and the experience has given me the opportunity to network with entrepreneurs and even mentor new start-up companies.
The tech incubator I am involved in has a business plan competition each year and the winning company receives $10,000 in cash and business services. I enter ConnectingDirectors.com into the business plan competition in 2009 and it’s what happened in that competition that propelled ConnectingDirectors.com to largest online daily funeral publication in the world.
I was asked by the business plan competition committee to speak with this year’s entrants about my experience in the competition and how it abruptly altered the path I was taking the company down.
