Foundation Partners Group Grows North Carolina Presence

Orlando, FL – Foundation Partners Group (FPG), a leading provider of innovative funeral, cemetery and cremation experiences and products, has announced the acquisition of Pierce-Jefferson Funeral and Cremation Service in Kernersville, NC.  The firm joins two other FPG funeral homes presently operating in North Carolina.

“We are very excited to be able to serve more families in North Carolina with this premier funeral home with such an outstanding leader,” stated Brad Rex, FPG President and CEO.   “Pierce-Jefferson not only complements our existing presence, but the firm boasts a strong reputation for compassion and highly personalized service.  We are pleased that Danny Jefferson and his team have elected to become part of the Foundation Partners family.”

It is difficult not to notice the grandeur and sophistication of the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Home, which traces its roots back more than 85 years.  The funeral home is located within “Plunket Place”, an original schoolhouse first established in Kernersville 160 years ago.  The Pierce House, as it is now known, was built in 1848 and the school later opened by the Masons in 1856.

Originally established as a funeral home around 1930, Jack Pierce and Danny Jefferson purchased the business in October 2005.  Danny Jefferson has operated the firm as majority owner for more than a decade, and will continue to manage all facets of the business, including the funeral home, the Jefferson House Events Center and the on-site crematory.

“The breadth of services we offer our families has always been a source of pride for the staff at Pierce-Jefferson.  The addition of new technologies like FPG’s ShareLife® multi-sensory experience will now take our operations to the next level”, commented Danny Jefferson.  “My staff and I are eager to bring these unique and proprietary services to our families.  This partnership substantially enhances our service to the community of Kernersville and the Triad.”

“Foundation Partners Group’s strategy is to team up with likeminded independent operators in the funeral profession who believe in using cutting edge personalization techniques to better serve families,” stated Justin Baxley, Senior Vice President of Business Development at FPG.  “Pierce-Jefferson has an exceptional reputation in the Kernersville area and we look forward to our partnership as they continue to serve families in the heart of the Piedmont Triad, including Winston-Salem, Greensboro and High Point, NC”
