Qeepr Launches Family Legacy Center at the Catholic Cemetery Convention

New product launch by Qeepr in association with Coldspring USA, providing a booth at mausoleums and cemeteries for online tributes and directions.

Montreal, Canada – September 23, 2015 /PressCable/ —

Social memorial platform and mobile app, Qeepr, has announced the launch of a new concept for cemeteries. The Family Legacy Center (FLC) is an interactive, online memorial and mapping station for cemeteries, mausoleums, and funeral homes that will be launched during the Catholic Cemetery Convention in San Diego, California. The application will be featured as part of the Coldspring display at booth 404.

The FLC allows guests to preserve and share their family history, while also discovering the stories of others. Each mapping and online memorial station is customized to reflect the unique brand of a business. Once configured and installed, the FLC contains a virtual map of the facility, helping visitors navigate large, confusing cemeteries.

Family Legacy Centers feature a large touch screen where visitors can perform many activities, including: viewing and interacting with online memorials, sending condolences, sharing images and videos, publishing life history, building a collaborative family tree and more. Qeepr CEO, Mandy Benoualid, explains that “the Family Legacy Center is a unique way to commemorate a loved one and share memories during every visit. It creates new opportunities for cemeterians and funeral directors to connect with more families and encourages visitors to spend more time exploring their genealogy by interacting with the platform.”

The interactive interface features a custom digital map which replicates a columbarium, mausoleum or cemetery grounds and allows visitors find their loved ones with ease. Managed through the Qeepr platform, the virtual map may also be utilized as a sales tool to display available and reserved plots.

Benoualid explains that “families can review the available plots and niches directly at the Family Legacy Center. We understand that shopping experiences are changing for nearly all types of goods and services. The Family Legacy Center provides a comfortable and secure platform to review memorial space options before or during a visit with a representative.” The mapping view also provides an easy way to organize and manage cemetery and mausoleum spaces, as well as client information.

To help personalize a visitor’s experience, the Family Legacy Center is tied to the recently launched Qeepr Mobile app. Currently available on the Android platform, visitors simply download the app to add photos and videos, and see the results instantly appear on the FLC screen. The app also provides precise monument directions when walking through a cemetery. For visitors interested in exploring a facility, the newly added QFind function allows a user to snap a picture of the name on any monument, and have the associated online memorial instantly appear.
