UPD Urns Uses 3D Printing For Busts

Three Rivers, CA, 06/04/2015 – Tyler Fraser, CEO of UPD Urns, has announced a new product called AlwaysBusts. UPD Urns is leveraging 3D technology using 3D pens to lower the cost of bronze sculpting and likeness artwork on cremation urns.

The AlwaysBusts are available world-wide. UPD Urns has expanded their facility to offer state of the art 3D scanning and printing services to funeral homes.

Tyler said, “This technology is going to have a big impact on memorialization. Now in the fashion of the ancient Greeks, we can offer a 12 inch tall beautiful likeness for a cremation urn.”

Focusing on cremation urns, UPD Urns offers the AlwaysBust as a topper to a full size wooden or brass urn. The bust can also be the urn and hold cremated remains. Currently the busts come in two materials: gypsum and genuine bronze.

Gypsum is a soft sulfate mineral, and is the main constituent of many types of plaster. A fine-grained, white or lightly tinted variety of gypsum, called alabaster, has been used for sculpture by many cultures including the Ancient Egyptians, Ancient Romans, and also Medieval England.

“I am always looking for something new to offer the families I work with as a pre-need agent. And UPD Urns has come up with something I am really excited about,” says Ed Lovato, a pre-need sales agent for several funeral homes in the San Diego area.

AlwaysBusts have a limited lifetime warranty and can be kept for decades, after the cremated remains have been interred.

UPD Urns sells cremation urns to funeral homes world-wide. The business was founded 14 years ago and greatly values integrity and customer service. Alongside offering bestselling urns, UPD Urns focuses on having a unique collection to cater to the ever changing and quickly growing needs of cremation.
