Tributes.com Inspires More Meaningful Memorialization in Partnership with the Funeral and Memorial Information Council
BOSTON, MA and Brookfield, WI – September 30, 2013 – Tributes.com, the online resource for local and national obituary news, announced today that they will be promoting the Funeral and Memorial Information Council’s (FAMIC) consumer education campaign, Have the Talk of a Lifetime to the nearly four million consumers that rely on the popular obituary news website each month.
The Have the Talk of a Lifetime campaign is focused on helping people across the U.S. discover the unique life stories of the people who matter most to them. These discussions can help families and friends make important decisions about how they wish to remember and honor the lives of their loved ones through meaningful memorialization. “Since the launch of the Tributes.com website five years ago, Tributes has been working closely to develop a unifying Internet brand in partnership with the funeral profession that helps families preserve the stories of loved ones in a meaningful and permanent way, for generations to come,” said Elaine Haney, CEO & president of Tributes, Inc. “The Have the Talk of a Lifetime campaign is in complete alignment with our beliefs and mission and we are proud to promote it in support of funeral professionals across the country.”
“We are so delighted that Tributes.com has stepped up in a significant way to help us change consumer opinions and attitudes toward memorialization,” said Jim Kepner, FAMIC president and the voting representative from Selected Independent Funeral Homes. “Tributes’ investment in promoting this important campaign is further demonstration of their commitment to the both the funeral profession and the preservation of life stories.”
