Ohio Funeral Director Uses a Semi Truck Hearse

We received an email yesterday from Bryan Chandler, funeral director and owner of Chandler Funeral and Cremation Service in Caldwell, Ohio, who has on multiple occasions used a semi truck for a hearse. Yes a semi (without the trailer of course).

You are probably wondering where the casket goes and how it stays in place. To answer this question Bryan emailed us a few pictures.

Bryan emailed the following:

We created the device that mounts to the truck. Usually we use one of the deceased’s semi’s or one of their drivers. They were both business owners. We’ve done it twice now. The families loved it…

This leads us to ask; “What is the craziest thing you have ever used in place of a hearse?”
