ICCFA CONDUCTS CREMATORY OPERATOR CERTIFICATION PROGRAMS FOR STEWART ENTERPRISES, INC.

The International Cemetery, Cremation and Funeral Association is pleased to announce that they have partnered with Stewart Enterprises, Inc. to conduct crematory operator certification programs for their staff company-wide.

By the end of November, over 200 operators, managers and senior management will receive their operator certification through sessions held in nine cities, including Baltimore, Md., Dallas, Texas, Orlando, Fla., San Diego, Calif., Portland, Ore., Greenville, SC, and Puerto Rico.

“Stewart Enterprises is committed to cremation excellence by investing in our operations, our properties and our people. Our goal is to provide Best In Class service to the families that we serve. This partnership to deliver a thorough and educational cremation certification program to our people brings us another step closer to achieving our goals.” said Christine Hunsaker, Stewart Enterprises senior vice president of cremation.

ICCFA creates real-world, comprehensive training modules in conjunction with industry leaders. Its crematory operator program is written and presented in concert with representatives from actual crematory manufacturing companies, and its cremation arranger program is presented by funeral directors whose experience is rooted in performing numerous cremation services each year. ICCFA’s programs have also been recognized as the highest standard of cremation training and are specifically mentioned in several state laws as the type of program required for state licensure.

“We are honored to provide ICCFA’s crematory operator certification to Stewart, utilizing the professional services of Crematory Manufacturing and Service Inc. and Lemasters Consulting” said ICCFA director of cremation services Julie A. Burn, CCE, CSE. “Stewart’s proactive position on operator safety, the environment and liability is consistent with their leadership in the market.”
