eFUNERAL AND HOSPICE OF DAYTON ALIGN TO SERVE DAYTON AND MIAMI VALLEY FAMILIES THROUGH INNOVATIVE ONLINE PLATFORM

Hospice of Dayton and eFuneral have announced a unique partnership which will allow patients and families of Hospice of Dayton to make funeral plans in a simpler, better informed way through eFuneral’s platform, effectively allowing eFuneral to expand its offerings into Dayton and the Miami Valley.

“We’re very protective of our patients and their families, and will only put new solutions in front of them if we believe they are a meaningful improvement,” said Kent Anderson, CEO of Hospice of Dayton. “However, funeral planning is one of the biggest challenges many of our families face. While we don’t receive any financial benefit from this partnership, we believe that eFuneral will make the funeral planning experience much easier for our families—and we are proud that this type of service is coming from an innovative Ohio company.”

Launched earlier this year, Cleveland-based eFuneral’s online platform allows families to find, compare, and select funeral homes by submitting an online inquiry and receiving confidential quotes from area funeral homes which they may review, along with applicable verified ratings and reviews submitted by other families.
Since launching in February, eFuneral has expanded its offerings into various parts of Ohio, including the Cleveland and Columbus metropolitan areas. Currently, over 100 funeral homes are included in eFuneral’s network, which grows weekly. This partnership marks the first of its kind between a web- based funeral planning platform such as eFuneral and a major hospice organization. The Dayton and Miami Valley region will mark the third Ohio market that eFuneral has expanded into, positioning the company to soon expand nationally.

“We are proud of the way that we’ve been able to take some of the burden off of families when trying to research and compare funeral planning options,” said Mike Belsito, Co-Founder of eFuneral. “We are proud to be allies with one of the nation’s leading independent hospice organizations and look forward to helping families throughout Dayton and the Miami Valley.”
