Over the past four decades, Terrybear Urns & Memorials has built its reputation on quality products and exceptional service. But in a business climate that has felt anything but predictable lately, Terrybear is taking things a step further — and putting its promises in writing.

“As we were nearing fall of last year, we had been absorbing all of the IEEPA and reciprocal tariffs for our customers in 2025,” explains Nikki Nordeen, Executive Director of Client Success & Brand Growth at Terrybear. “We were trying to mitigate big changes for our customers. But we knew as 2026 was approaching, we couldn’t continue to. That was not sustainable for us.”

Faced with the reality of necessary price increases heading into the new year, Nordeen and the Terrybear team asked themselves a critical question: What else can we do to provide our customers with value and stability when things feel so chaotic? The answer, launching April 1st, is Terrybear’s Peace of Mind Guarantee — a formalized commitment to the kind of service the company has always strived to provide, now backed by real, measurable promises.

Here’s what it includes:

Quick Ship™ Order Fulfillment: Orders placed through Terrybear’s Memory of a Lifetime portal that don’t require an engraving proof will ship the same day if placed by 3 p.m. Central Standard Time — significantly later than the industry standard of around 11 a.m. or noon. This is especially meaningful for West Coast customers, who now have a wider window to get orders in and still receive same-day shipping for time-sensitive family needs.

QuickProofs™ Personalization Technology: Terrybear’s online proofing technology continues to be a cornerstone of their service offering, reducing errors and saving funeral directors valuable time during the arrangement process.

Guaranteed Quality: Terrybear is formalizing what they’ve always stood behind: a defect-free guarantee on their products for a minimum of one year.

In-Stock Promise: Perhaps the most compelling piece of the new guarantee, Terrybear has identified their most popular and essential items as “Signature SKUs” and is committing to keeping those in stock 100% of the time. If a Signature SKU happens to be unavailable at the time of an order, Terrybear will upgrade the customer to any item in their assortment — at no additional cost.

You Call. We Answer.: In an era when too many companies route calls to overseas answering services or voicemail, Terrybear is pledging something refreshingly simple: when you call, a real member of their team will pick up. “It’ll never be a bot,” adds Shelby Gotreau, Marketing & Design Specialist at Terrybear. “It will always be someone you know.”

Rolling out these promises hasn’t been as simple as making an announcement. Terrybear has spent months quietly preparing behind the scenes — adjusting staff schedules, staggering shifts, and renegotiating freight pickup times with FedEx and UPS to accommodate the extended same-day shipping cutoff.

“With the funeral industry being so time sensitive, you can’t miss a shipping pickup. You can’t miss a required date,” Nordeen says. “If you do, you’ve missed the whole service.”

That sense of urgency — and the deep responsibility that comes with serving grieving families — is exactly what drove Terrybear to develop the Peace of Mind Guarantee in the first place. Because when every hour counts, knowing your supplier has your back isn’t just a nice-to-have. It’s everything.
