Passare has introduced a new integration with IMObituary designed to help funeral homes streamline how families share service information with their personal networks. IMObituary operates a mobile-first platform that allows families to send concise obituary details directly from their mobile phones via text message and contact lists. By pulling service and funeral details recorded in Passare, the system delivers verified information to help guests attend services and offer support.
“We wanted to make it easy for families to share details during a hard time,” said Josh McQueen, VP of Marketing & Product at Passare. “This integration removes the burden of manual updates and helps funeral homes provide a simple way for communities to show up and offer support.”
The software connection transfers decedent data and service schedules directly from Passare to generate a mobile-formatted memorial page. These pages feature TheCardStore.com, an offering from IMObituary that allows users to send physical sympathy cards from their smartphones. Funeral homes earn a profit share on card purchases, providing an additional revenue source while offering a simple method for community members to send sympathy cards.
“We’re honored to be available to funeral homes using Passare, giving them a new way to extend their care, connect with the wider community surrounding each family, and create meaningful opportunities for people to show their support,” said Craig Reynolds, Founding Partner and COO of IMObituary.
