image Responding to demand from the industry, FUNERIA LLC announced its plans to dedicate more than 20 of its original artist-designed cremation urns and keepsakes for sale exclusively to and through authorized funeral service reseller accounts, according to a news release. All retail inquiries for each of the designs that comprise FUNERIA’s expanded Classics Collection will be referred to a FUNERIA Authorized Reseller, effective immediately.

FUNERIA’s announcement comes on the heels of the well-received introduction of its new collections at industry trade shows. Expo attendees responded enthusiastically, with particular attention to the new collection of brilliantly glazed all-ceramic urns and ceramic urns with metal lids. Visitors to the Best of Show arena during the National Funeral Directors Association’s annual convention in October were specially generous in casting votes for FUNERIA’s Celtic Urn design, which benefited Habitat for Humanity. In addition, FUNERIA’s new collection is made entirely in the United States.

“From the outset, FUNERIA’s driving ambition has been ‘to turn funeral homes into art galleries’. We firmly believe that art honors life, that it reflects our culture and our time,” said Maureen Lomasney, founder and president of FUNERIA. “The challenge has been to provide timeless yet contemporary design with the characteristics of fine art while meeting the funeral industry’s needs for consistency in size and appearance ? for urns that can be easily filled and sealed, that are well priced and available to order in quantity. With the opportunity to place designs that meet these criteria into larger scale production right here in the U.S., that have been offered exclusively to us by our top selling artists, FUNERIA is now able to provide what we believe to be a perfect match of artist-designed urns at a price and in quantities that are superbly suited for resale in funeral service provider locations.”

FUNERIA’s Director of Business Development, Eleanor Doyle, who joined Lomasney in presenting the company’s new collections at this year’s industry events, noted that, “We are thrilled to dedicate an entire segment of our business to serving funeral service providers who are as eager as we are to offer families uniquely beautiful, high quality options that are not available through other channels. We are excited to provide forward-thinking funeral service providers with the very best opportunities to serve their clients.”
