September 5, 2017 — Sich Casket has announced the winner of their monthly “Year of the Funeral Director” casket giveaway for August. The winner, Brent Shehorn, is the owner of Lake Shore Funeral Home in Waco Texas.

Mr. Shehorn will receive the Sich 18-gauge steel “Morion” casket (Sich model #HJ16), with its striking Black exterior with Natural Brush finish and White Crepe interior. Delivery is provided by Wise Products in Honey Grove, TX.

Mr. Shehorn has been a licensed funeral director and embalmer in the State of Texas since 1991. He served a number of Texas funeral homes as Funeral Director, Embalmer, and Restorative Artist before opening his own 16,000 square-foot funeral home in 2008.

When told about his winning the August Sich casket, Mr. Shehorn, whose funeral home had been offering only domestic-made caskets, shared his excitement and said of Sich, “You guys are doing things right!”

Mr. Shehorn is the fifth person to win a Sich casket as part of the monthly giveaway, following Howie VanRensselaer of VanRensselaer & Son Funeral Home in Randolph, New York; Daryl R. Berry of LyonDeWitt-Berry Funeral Home in Campbellsville, Kentucky; Todd Schrag of Roper and Sons Funeral Home in Lincoln, Nebraska; and Todd Howell of Woodfin Funeral Chapels in Murfreesboro and Smyrna, Tennessee.

The next Sich casket giveaway drawing will be held at the end of September. To learn more about the monthly drawing and to enter, visit Sich.com or www.RethinkYourCaskets.com/YearFD. Participants need only enter one time to be registered for all the drawings throughout the balance of the year.
