FrontRunner today announced the formation of its newest division, Funeral Solutions Group. FrontRunner CEO and Founder Kevin Montroy cites, “The formation of this new division reflects what we see as significant changes in the market and the changing needs of a growing number of funeral homes who are seeking no-charge websites, yet still want a professional online presence that generates them the highest revenues possible”.

Funeral Solutions Group is an entirely separate company from FrontRunner that will run its own budget and its own staff. The intent is to have the two companies be highly competitive with each other by providing different levels of service and solutions that best suit the funeral home and their budgetary needs. The collaboration with FrontRunner ensures that even under a free website and no-charge hosting model, firms will receive the most advanced website on the market.

The Funeral Solutions Group website system is a fully scalable solution. It comes with a custom version of the powerful Book of Memories Memorial Website and the profession’s highest earning profit center. Customers will also have access to one of the best DVD Memorial Video generators, the all new Print-on-Demand custom stationery program and numerous APP plugins. However, the best feature of all is the built-in document handler engine, which can instantly print the firm’s important funeral documents. “This is one very powerful solution that can save funeral homes thousands of dollars per year,” adds Montroy.

Research has shown that the overwhelming majority of funeral homes still use Microsoft Word to print their Proof of Death Statements, Clergy and Cemetery Records, in-house forms and many government forms. This requires firms to enter and re-enter the same data multiple times. In fact, many firms across the country report that the only thing they use their funeral home management software for is to print these forms. In these cases, this new free feature removes the need for expensive management software and the ongoing annual support fees that often come with them. This feature alone will help firms take efficiency, convenience and profitability to an entirely new level.

According to Montroy, “this offering helps expose the current model of the “free website” providers who continue to take the lion’s share of online profits away from the funeral home by having to provide kick-backs to their sales channel partners. More concerning are website companies that offer funeral homes a free website, only to set them up as being seen as untrustworthy by marking flowers up as much as 40% higher than consumers can find elsewhere online. At the end of the day, it is not just the funeral home that loses, but funeral service as a whole”, says Montroy.

As part of this initiative, Funeral Solutions Group will also be launching the National Obituary Registry (NationalObituaryRegistry.org), an aggressive initiative designed to help funeral homes regain ownership of their obituaries, get back to being the authoritative of their obituaries and take back control of their website traffic and online profits. The National Obituary Registry will work to provide a conduit to engage funeral service to publish every obituary in North America on one central site at no charge, with obituary content being controlled by the funeral home, not Legacy.com or the newspaper.

Using advanced Search Engine Optimization strategies, this initiative will help funeral homes return the maximum profitability they should be receiving while ensuring that the condolences, words of support, and shared photos will always be received by the family and will remain on for future generations. A pre-arrange online service will make sure that the intended funeral home will receive these enquiries, at no-charge. Working closely with newspapers, Funeral Solutions Group will to help re-kindle the relationship and trust that once existed between local newspapers and local funeral homes that has been disrupted by predatory posting schemes, by providing a model that creates a win-win for both sides.

The combination of this obituary initiative, the powerful free-website model and the easy site transfer process, will be a game changer for funeral homes throughout North America.

Funeral Solutions Group is a dedicated new technology group with deep roots in funeral service. Their mission statement is to help the funeral profession by providing the missing link for those who cannot afford to, or do not feel the need for an elaborate technology strategy.
