New partnership gives families access to fast, transparent funeral financing designed specifically for funeral and cemetery service

ORLANDO, Fla. (June 30, 2026) — Foundation Partners Group one of the nation’s largest providers of funeral, cemetery and cremation services, has partnered with Lilypay to offer families a new financing solution that makes it easier to manage funeral and memorial expenses through flexible installment payments.

The partnership gives families served by Foundation Partners’ firms access to Lilypay’s “buy now, pay later” platform, allowing approved applicants to spread funeral costs across manageable payments over three or six months. The financing option is designed to reduce financial stress during one of life’s most difficult moments while helping families choose meaningful arrangements without added pressure.

“Families today expect more flexibility in how they pay for services, especially during unexpected life events,” said Will Swaney, Foundation Partners’ vice president – product. “Partnering with Lilypay gives our funeral directors another practical tool to help families move forward with confidence and dignity. This is about reducing barriers to care and making compassionate service more accessible.”

Foundation Partners serves more than 125,000 families annually through nearly 230 locations across 21 states and has continued investing in technology and service innovations that improve the family experience.

Lilypay was founded specifically to address a longstanding challenge in funeral service: helping families cover immediate end-of-life costs without relying on high-interest credit cards or traditional lending products. Unlike many financing programs, Lilypay uses a streamlined approval process and was built around the realities of funeral and cemetery arrangements.

Founded in 2024, The Foundation Partners partnership represents a major expansion of Lilypay’s reach across the United States.

“Lilypay was built specifically for funeral and cemetery professionals because we understand the unique challenges families and funeral directors face at the arrangement table,” said Phillip Mason, co-founder and CEO of Lilypay. “I’ve sat with families making impossible financial decisions while grieving. That experience shaped every part of this platform. Our goal is simple: help families honor their loved ones without unnecessary financial strain.”

Families applying through Lilypay complete a brief online application and receive a soft credit review, enabling faster approval decisions with no hard credit inquiry. Once approved, families make an initial payment, and the funeral home is funded directly. Remaining payments are divided into four installments over the selected term.

Lilypay’s model offers several advantages for funeral providers, including same-day ACH funding, reduced credit card processing costs and minimal administrative burden for staff. The company also assumes repayment risk, ensuring participating funeral homes receive payment even if a family later defaults.

“Funeral directors are called to guide families through emotionally and financially complex decisions every day,” Swaney said. “Providing modern payment solutions supports that mission and allows our teams to stay focused on what matters most — serving families with empathy, clarity and care.”

The partnership reflects Foundation Partners’ broader strategy of combining compassionate service with thoughtful innovation to better meet changing consumer expectations in funeral care.
