Funeral Women Lead Announces the Strategic Expansion of its Leadership Team with Appointments of Lisa Meehan and Misha Antonio
Funeral Women Lead expands the foundation’s capacity to support women in the funeral and deathcare profession, from education and community engagement to daily operations.
July 23, 2026 Parker, CO. – Funeral Women Lead announces two new additions to its growing team: Lisa Meehan, who joins in a part-time role as Education + Community Engagement Coordinator, and Misha Antonio, who joins as Executive Assistant. Both appointments mark an important step in Funeral Women Lead’s ongoing effort to expand its reach and deepen its support of women in the funeral and deathcare profession.
Lisa Meehan brings nearly four decades of experience in funeral service to her new role, including 21 years in higher education and leadership development. She currently serves as Dean of Academic Affairs at Ogeechee Technical College, and previously held academic leadership roles at the Dallas Institute of Funeral Service, where she worked closely with students, faculty, and professional partners to strengthen educational experiences and foster student success. Her career has also included leadership positions in funeral homes, funeral service education, and health sciences administration, giving her a unique understanding of both the profession and the people who serve within it. She is a Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer, a Certified Funeral Service Practitioner (CFSP), and a lifelong advocate for education, mentorship, and the advancement of women in funeral service and deathcare.

Misha Antonio joins Funeral Women Lead as executive assistant, bringing nearly a decade of executive support experience and a background in international relations. In her new role, Antonio will keep the organization’s daily operations, priorities, and communications running smoothly, allowing the foundation’s leaders to show up fully for its mission, and bringing that same dedication to supporting the women Funeral Women Lead serves.

As Funeral Women Lead continues to grow its Leadership Academy, annual Leadership and Wellness Summit, mentoring and coaching programs, community conversations, membership, and scholarship opportunities, these additions ensure the foundation has the people and structure in place to meet women where they are and walk alongside them toward where they are capable of going.
