Homesteaders Life Company and Kates-Boylston Announce “Momentum: A Women’s Leadership Accelerator” — A One-Day Business Intensive
West Des Moines, IA —Homesteaders Life Company and Kates-Boylston are proud to announce Momentum: A Women’s Leadership Accelerator, a one-day executive-level intensive designed specifically for women in funeral service, cemetery, and cremation leadership. The event will take place September 24 at the Inn at Celebration in Celebration, Florida, with a welcome reception the evening of September 23.
Positioned as a “mini MBA for women in deathcare,” Momentum delivers focused, high-impact education built to sharpen hard skills, strengthen business strategy, and accelerate professional growth. Attendees will gain practical tools and insights they can implement immediately—without stepping away from their businesses for days at a time.
“Women in funeral service are often prepared to be relational leaders, but they aren’t always presented with the same opportunities as their male peers to build financial and strategic expertise,” said Danielle Burmeister, Homesteaders VP-Marketing Communications. “We designed Momentum to close that gap, equipping high-potential leaders with the business acumen and confidence to step into their next level of leadership.”
The experience begins September 23 from 5:30–7:30 p.m. with a welcome party and wine tasting, offering attendees the opportunity to connect in a relaxed, engaging setting.
On September 24, from 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., an experienced group of powerhouse women leaders will guide participants through a dynamic, action-oriented agenda covering the business fundamentals that matter most. The speaker lineup includes Danielle Burmeister, Laurie Covington, Courtney Gould Miller, Leili McMurrough, Wanda Sizemore, Quinn Hailey-Wheeler, and more. The full agenda will be released soon.
Attendees can expect:
- Practical hard skills designed for immediate impact
- Meaningful peer connections and mentorship opportunities
