Misty Engel Named New Homesteaders Account Executive

West Des Moines, Iowa — Homesteaders Life Company Senior VP-Strategic Markets Will Bischoff is pleased to announce that Misty Engel has joined Homesteaders’ industry-leading team of account executives. Misty will serve funeral providers and agents in Texas.  

“Misty’s experience in the funeral profession combined with her passion for helping families design better farewells will make her an undeniable asset to our team and the company,” Bischoff said. 

With nearly 15 years of firsthand experience working in her family’s funeral home, Engel is motivated to help families experience the benefits of advance funeral planning — both to ease the financial burden for loved ones and provide peace of mind in knowing plans are already in place. She offers a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities funeral professionals face, and looks forward to leveraging that perspective to help  funeral home owners develop customized strategies to grow their businesses.

Engel earned a certificate in funeral directing from the Commonwealth Institute of Funeral Service in Houston.  Additionally, she is an active volunteer with CASA Hope for Children and the Parker County Committee on Aging and a member of her local chamber of commerce in Weatherford, Texas.
