ICCFA Announces Launch of the 40 Under 40 Award Program Recognizing Rising Stars in the Deathcare Profession

STERLING, VA (June 28, 2024) – The International Cemetery, Cremation and Funeral Association (ICCFA) is thrilled to announce the launch of the 40 Under 40 Award program. This recognition celebrates the exceptional achievements of young professionals in the deathcare profession, highlighting their outstanding leadership, innovation, and community engagement.

The ICCFA 40 Under 40 Award program honors the best and brightest up-and-coming individuals in the deathcare profession, showcasing their remarkable contributions and inspiring excellence. These young leaders, including cemeterians and funeral directors to managers, administrators, crematory operators, maintenance supervisors, suppliers, and more, are shaping the future of our profession.

Key Dates and Deadlines:

  • July 1, 2024: Nominations open.
  • September 3, 2024: Nominations closed.
  • October 16, 2024: Honorees announced at Fall Leadership Summit in San Antonio.
  • December 2024: Honorees published in Memento Mori magazine.

Eligibility:

Nominees must be 39 or younger as of August 31, 2024, and working in any capacity within the deathcare profession. Those submitting nominations must be an ICCFA member in good standing.

Recognition:

The 40 Under 40 Award honorees will be featured in the December issue of the Memento Mori magazine, displayed on ICCFA social media and online platforms, recognized at the 2025 ICCFA Annual Convention in Las Vegas, Nevada, and awarded a $500 educational scholarship from the ICCFA Educational Foundation to put toward the registration fee to attend the 2025 Fall Leadership Summit. Honorees will be expected to pay the difference between the registration rate and the scholarship. This opportunity offers visibility, networking with deathcare leaders, and development.
