OGR Presents Future Leaders Forum to Foster the Potential of Funeral Home Professionals

INDIANAPOLIS (June 23, 2023) – The International Order of the Golden Rule (OGR) is proud to announce the upcoming Future Leaders Forum, an event designed to nurture and develop the next generation of leaders in the funeral service industry. This two-day program will gather young professionals, first and second-career individuals, and emerging leaders for engaging education, problem-solving exercises, and strategic discussions. The Future Leaders Forum will be held Aug. 15-16, 2023, at the Anton B. Urban Funeral Home in Ambler, Pa.

“I am thrilled to have the opportunity to host the OGR 2023 Future Leaders Forum and eagerly look forward to sharing knowledge, insights, and experiences with my peers in the funeral service industry,” said OGR board member Peter Urban, Anton B. Urban Funeral Home. “It’s an honor to create an environment where we can connect, learn, and grow together as future leaders in this field.”

Attendees of the Future Leaders Forum will have the opportunity to earn continuing education credits in accordance with their state regulations. The program will feature a diverse range of sessions and activities, including:

  • Social Media Marketing Using Short Form Video presented by Adam Guthrie, Huff-Guthrie Funeral Home & Cremation Service

To support the attendance of OGR member funeral homes, the OGR Foundation is offering $400 scholarships to the first ten (10) individuals who register for the Future Leaders Forum. These scholarships aim to alleviate the costs associated with sending staff members to the event.
