Halcyon Announces Strategic Partnershp with the Commander Initiative
What started as a system designated solely for funeral home management services now supports pets, trade services, cremation, aquamation and QR code body tracking. Halcyon’s award-winning software is the front runner implementing these services in eight different countries.
Sara Gard, President of Halcyon said, “We are a tight-knit in-house team of talented and conscientious software developers and customer support personnel. I am incredibly proud of our outstanding team of professionals. Halcyon has come a long way in 20 years, but some things remain the same. We are still independently held and operated. We follow the Golden Rule and demonstrate ethics and integrity in all aspects of our business. We value the role we play in supporting our customers’ work and are dedicated to continuing to innovate and improve our products and services to meet the changing needs of the deathcare profession. On behalf of the entire team, I want to thank our customers for the trust they place in Halcyon. We continue to work hard every day to live up to this honor.”
In partnering with The Commander Initiative, we are now able to assist many of the smaller firms that may have thought that a management system might be too complicated and costly.
The Commander Initiative, currently consist of approximately 200 predominantly independent minority funeral homes. They continue to grow by creating strategic partnerships with product & service vendors who service the deathcare industry. The initiative is establishing a network to work for locations that may have never qualified for ample discounted rates or experienced collective purchasing power.
The Initiative saves its members time and money by combining the knowledge and buying power these 200+ Funeral Homes share as members by utilizing cooperative discounts generated from the proven process.
Halcyon’s innovative products helps to maximize productivity so funeral directors can focus on serving their families. Funeral Homes benefit from utilizing these innovations, such as automatic obituaries, quick fill data entry, and customizations to conduct the business day-to-day operations.
Optional features include electronic form signatures (via our DocuSign® partnership), QuickBooks® integration, and answering service integration to streamline the operation.
Eddie Pitt, organizer of the Commander Initiative says, “This partnership aligns with our core strategies on many fronts by helping to provide our members with greater insight to make more informed decisions to the funeral industry issues.” This will generate a game changer to bring greatly needed technology to the smaller funeral professionals. There are many funeral homes in need of this level of support to sustain their profitability.
