BURMEISTER APPOINTED HOMESTEADERS LIFE COMPANY VICE PRESIDENT-MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS

West Des Moines, Iowa — Lyndon Peterson, Executive VP-Sales and Marketing for Homesteaders Life Company, today announced the promotion of Danielle Burmeister to Vice President-Marketing & Communications.

“Over the last few years, Danielle has successfully led her team through the challenges of remote work while navigating the rapidly increasing demand resulting from Homesteaders’ growth,” said Peterson. “Her knowledge, skills and leadership make her an excellent addition to our executive leadership.”

Burmeister joined Homesteaders in 2015 as a Marketing Communications Specialist and has since held several roles in the department, most recently as Director-Marketing Communications. In her new position, she will lead the team responsible for all aspects of Homesteaders’ marketing and branding. Burmeister will take over the marketing leadership reins from Dean Lambert, who will be transitioning to a new role within the company on August 1.

“I am grateful for the support and development opportunities afforded me throughout my time at Homesteaders and feel very fortunate to work alongside an incredibly talented and hard-working team,” Burmeister explained. “I look forward to the opportunity to assume a more strategic role as our team works to support our company’s success and that of our funeral home customers, agents and affiliates.”
Outgoing VP-Marketing Communications Dean Lambert affirmed Burmeister’s appointment. “Among the mere handful of individuals who have held the position of Vice President-Marketing throughout its 116-year history, Burmeister will be the youngest individual, and the first woman, to lead the department,” he observed. “She is fully capable of assuming responsibility for evolving the Homesteaders brand and will thrive as the organization broadens its go-to-market strategy to include greater consumer outreach. I am very excited to support her promotion and feel fortunate to witness the next generation of marketing leadership in action at Homesteaders.”

Burmeister has a Bachelor’s Degree from Central College in Pella, IA, and a Master’s Degree from Iowa State University. She currently lives in Ankeny, IA, with her husband and two children.
